Our first public weeding event of the year will be held this coming Sunday at Bukareeyoo. ‘Book-ar-ree-you’, is a Wadawurrung word which means ‘between’. Bukareeyoo sits between two waters- the ocean and the river. Come help us remove the dreaded invasive species Euphorbia, commonly known as the Geraldton Carnation weed (Euphorbia terracina).
Unfortunately due to the potentially dangerous sap that this plant contains this will be a child free event.
Please note the path we will be working along is readily accessible for all abilities.
Note our start time and that DAYLIGHT SAVINGS ENDS THIS MORNING- 🙂- don’t be early!!**. Meet us at the last carpark on the ocean side before the Barwon Heads Bridge- formerly known as 20W.
Please come prepared with long sleeves and pants and closed shoes to protect yourselves in this environment. Gloves and protective glasses provided or bring your own!
