Ecologist Jeff Yugovic will lead us on a walk along the edge of Swan Bay, sharing his knowledge of the unique plants and animals which live in these precious saltmarshes and the roles they play in protecting Swan Bay and all of it’s life, we will also spot weeds which threaten saltmarsh.
We will finish by sharing a hearty supper at Swan Bay Holiday Park.

Join Geelong Cemeteries Trust and Bellarine Catchment Network at the Drysdale Cemetery to help restore our local habitats through bush regeneration and revegetation. You can stay for as little or long as you want, all tools and plants are provided and celebrate with morning tea!
We are starting to regenerate this cemetery with 50 indigenous tree species - come down, put in some plants and find out about the work that we are doing at cemeteries across the Bellarine.
Volunteers will be guided by experienced conservation field staff. Volunteers will need to BYO safety gear (enclosed shoes, gloves, glasses).All activities are subject to weather warnings and considerations.

Join us at Borough of Queenscliff incredible Coastal Moonah Woodland - The Narrows, where we will learn more about the common weeds threatening biodiversity on the Bellarine Peninsula.
Featuring one of the last remaining remnants of endangered Coastal Moonah Woodland on the Bellarine Peninsula, the reserve is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. This practical workshop is an incredible opportunity to learn about a whole range of weeds, from invasive grasses, lilies and bulbs, woody weeds and herbs.
Meeting location Narrows Beach carpark, Queenscliff (opposite 6 Bellarine Hwy).
Wear a hat, long pants and a long shirt. Gumboots are advised in autumn and winter. BYO water bottle. Morning tea (tea, coffee, biscuits) will be provided.


Join Clifton Springs Curlewis Coastcare and the Geelong Nature Reserve Team for a weeding working bee on Wednesday 15 October. We will remove invasive weeds along the Clifton Springs beach and foreshore.

Participants to meet at the Boat Road entrance, just opposite the caravan park boom gates.
A fun family nature quest travelling by bike along the Bellarine Coastal Trail in search of shorebirds. A treasure hunt list and binoculars will be provided to each group. Your challenge is to search for and identify as many different species of birds as possible. We'll explore a 5Km section of the trail stopping at places where birds like to hang out. Not into cycling? No worries, a walking option is also available. Ready, set, birdwatch! 🦆
Afterwards enjoy a picnic or BBQ, explore the playground or visit the Batman memorial nearby.
