FOEP Edwards Point Wildlife Reserve St Leonards Weeding group activity 14 March

The Friends of Edward Point Reserve are eagerly looking forward to starting
our weeding activities for 2023 and would be delighted if you could join us. We
made great inroads focusing on the Western Sector in 2022 but there is a lot
more to do.
We’re stating our 2023 weeding, removing Fleabane from the Western Block.
Fleabane grows, flowers and seeds over summer so it needs our urgent attention.
It’s also a great weed to start off with because it is easy to remove, even if
the soil is dry.
We're meeting at the Dune St entrance at 9.30am,
but if it is consistently raining or is too hot (30+%), then
we will cancel the weeding activity.
What to Bring
Gloves - We can provide you with gloves if you don't have any or forget to
bring them.
Hat
Appropriate comfortable shoes, or gumboots if it has been raining.
Sensible and appropriate clothes, preferably long sleeves, and pants (more
protection from the sun).
Even though it's early Autumn we still need to be mindful of UV so bring
sunscreen and insect repellent - we will also provide these, but you may prefer
to use your own.
Any personal medicine you may think you might need - we will have a first
aid kit with us.
Your own water.
Please note, all children under 18 must be accompanied by a
responsible adult
