Join Conservation Volunteers Australia for our free event to help maintain the private land around Lake Connewarre Wetlands. The remarkable Lake Connewarre is one of Victoria's most significant wetlands and a Ramsar site for migratory birds. Private landholders need our help to maintain and restore habitat connectivity and biodiversity of the wetland's surrounding ecosystem.
We will be participating in a hand weeding activity to prepare for future planting of native flora. A lunch will be provided by our grateful landholders, followed by a fauna survey to explore the surrounding biodiversity of this unique area.
