Swan Bay Environment Association's Habitat Restoration Group is back for 2024, restoring habitat by removing woody weeds, such as Polygala myrtifolia - the most widespread woody weed in the Borough. It is crowding out many indigenous species including orchids, wildflowers, shrubs and grasses, reducing biodiversity and habitat for our local birds, insects and mammals.
Please join us in restoring the Habitat of the Borough of Queenscliffe on Sunday, March 3rd from 9.30am to 11.30am, meet on the Bike Path near the Queenscliff Railway Station, Queenscliff (see map). Wear sturdy shoes, gardening gloves and if you have any loppers, please bring them. Don't forget sunscreen, hat and sunglasses. We look forward to seeing more new faces in 2024. No need to register, just turn up on the day and spend as little or as much time as you are comfortable with.
