Sustainable House Day is back this year for its fourteenth iteration Geelong Sustainability in partnership with the City of Greater Geelong is excited to bring you an amazing weekend of seminars and open houses. Sustainable House Day is being held across the entire weekend of giving people even more opportunity to explore new and innovative ideas and solutions.
On Saturday 15th October we have three in-person seminars covering important topics including ‘Sustainable Homes: Buy, Build & Renovate’, ‘Retrofitting for energy efficiency’ and ‘Going off Gas’ where you will hear from experts in the field, with an opportunity to have your questions answered.
On Sunday 16th October we are showcasing nine diverse open houses across the region, with features including passive solar design, thermal mass, insulation, new building practices, draught-proofing techniques, sustainable products, energy-efficient appliances, rooftop solar, battery storage, straw bale homes and productive gardens. You will have the opportunity to speak with experts and homeowners on site, including architects and solar companies.
Seminars require bookings via our website; tickets are $5 with discounts when booking two or more. Open house day is free access, and you are welcome to attend our amazing houses around the region during their open times.
