Join Bellarine Catchment Network for a special full-day tour showcasing environmental projects and community conservation efforts across the Bellarine Peninsula!

This September, Bellarine Catchment Network is taking our network meeting on the road. We’re inviting volunteers, community members and environmental enthusiasts to join us as we visit several local sites and learn more about the important work happening across our region.

Throughout the day, we’ll hear from local organisations and land managers about their work, explore different environmental sites and discover how community groups and volunteers are contributing to the protection and restoration of our local environment.

It’s a great opportunity to learn something new, meet other environmentally minded people and see some of the projects happening across the Bellarine.

🌿 What we'll explore

Our tour will visit four local environmental sites:

Murrk Ngubitj Yarram Yaluk
Begin the day with a Welcome to Country and site tour, with representatives from Barwon Water sharing an introduction to the site and its environmental values.

Bellarine Memorial Park
Hear from Geelong Cemeteries Trust about the site and the environmental work taking place within the park.

Ripview
Learn about the environmental values of Ripview and hear from the Borough of Queenscliffe and Barwon Coast about their work and the commitment of Borough Coastcarers to the site.

Point Richards Flora and Fauna Reserve
Finish the site visits at Point Richards, where representatives from Bellarine Bayside will share more about the reserve and the work being undertaken to care for this important local environment.

The day will also include lunch at Point Lonsdale Bowling Club and the launch of Bellarine Catchment Network’s new Weed Booklet.
