Looking for volunteering opportunities out in nature?
The #BoroughCoastcarers are a monthly volunteering group based in Queenscliff and Point Lonsdale. These passionate people focus on the removal of invasive weeds such as Myrtle-leaf Milk-wort (Polygala myrtifolia) and Italian Buckthorn (Rhamnus alaternus). Their efforts help protect Coastal Moonah Woodland, a threatened plant community that is home to many special plants and animals along our coastline.
Volunteers will be guided by experienced conservation field staff. Volunteers will need to BYO safety gear (enclosed shoes, gloves, glasses). All activities are subject to weather warnings and considerations. Meet at the Narrows Beach carpark, Queenscliff (opposite 6 Bellarine Hwy). Email email@example.com for more information.
This program is funded and supported by the Borough of Queenscliffe with support from the Swan Bay Environment Association.
