Corio Bay and Port Phillip Bay are unique environments that make up Geelong's coastal backyard. Although many appreciate the marine wonders of our bays, many users in Geelong see places like Limeburners Boat Ramp as a place to dump their fast food, litter and fishing gear. Limeburners Boat Ramp is a frequently littered site with a fantastic view of the bay and due to fringing vegetation and rocky edges, is a place where lots of blown litter is captured before it ends up in the water, making it a great last resort for litter clean ups.
All volunteers will be supplied with gloves, bags, litter pickers and environmental information.
