Bush Restoration Activity

Join the the very first activity of the 'Friends of Murrk Ngubitj Yarram Yaluk' on Wednesday the 7th of June. Bellarine Catchment Network will be working at this special reserve on Wadawurrung Country, formerly known as the Bellarine Basin.

We would like invite you to be become a 'friend' to this special place and help us preserve and protect its unique biodiversity value. Each month, we will be facilitating the friends group to participate in activities like weeding, flora surveys, citizen science and more. This new 'Friends of' group is supported by Barwon Water and the Wadawurrung Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation.

  • Help preserve the biodiversity at this site for our local wildlife
  • Work alongside Wadawurrung's natural resource management team

What will I be doing?

The Friends of Murrk Ngubitj Yarram Yaluk will be able to participate in:

  • Monthly weed removal and control
  • Plant and animal surveys
  • Citizen science
  • Revegetation

Volunteers will be guided by experienced conservation field staff. Volunteers will need to BYO safety gear (enclosed shoes, gloves, glasses). All activities are subject to weather warnings and considerations.
