Following the success of the opening of renovated Bird Hide and planting day held last
September, it was decided that we would conduct a second replanting session in the
Autumn.
Come join fellow naturalists to do some light weeding around the area where we mulched
previously and to lay out and plant some new native tube stock to enhance the area. The
activity will not be too strenuous and will take only hour and half to complete, followed by
morning tea.
The GFNC committee recently approved funding for an artificial island/raft to be installed
and you can learn more about this project and where it will be positioned. Following the
recent rains, Jerringot water levels are up so we can also do some bird watching and create
a few ebird lists around the wetlands.
Meet: Jerringot bird hide just off Barwon Heads Rd in Belmont at 9:00 am
Bring: your own morning tea/coffee and maybe some cake/ biscuits to share.
Gloves and other equipment will be provided.
