Join Bellarine Catchment Network and the Friends of Edwards Point at this fantastic reserve to go on an interactive wildlife walk! This walk will be all about wildlife: what you can find in Edwards Point, what makes wildlife special and what we can learn from exploring our local plants and animals.
This is a family friendly event but ideally would suit children aged 10 and above. All children must be supervised at all times by a parent and/or guardian.
This event is supported by Landcare Australia via the Victorian Landcare Program as well as Parks Victoria.
What's involved: Participants will go on a walk along sandy tracks within the reserve, looking for wildlife. Binoculars and identification brochures will be provided to all participants to help with wildlife discovery. Participants will do a circuit of the reserve ending on the beach where we will explore intertidal life
Please BYO: hat, sunscreen, water and booties or enclosed shoes like sneakers (no flip flops or sandals). Please wear long pants and a long shirt.
Access: The meeting location is at the entrance to Edwards Point Wildlife Reserve, opposite 26 Beach Road, St Leonards. There is plenty of parking on the grassy area available. All participants will be emailed 1 day before the event with confirmation details.
Note: Please do not attend if you are unwell. This event is also subject to weather conditions and will be postponed if weather is not safe or unfavourable. All participants will be notified 24 hours before.
